Was obviously once a beautiful hotel...now a bit tired looking. In need of an upgrade.
Unusually, bedroom and shower room were of almost of equal size!
No restaurant. Continental breakfast only which finishes serving at 9am....another hour would be appreciated? TV was tiny, making tv guide/subtitles impossible to read unless you sat really close to the screen.
On the positive side, staff were really friendly and helpfull. Location is excellent for both city centre and the University. Hotel is good value for money.
Would use again.
The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating but good lord the cleanliness was appalling, stains of god knows what fluids all over the curtains, everything sticky, cups in the room dirty, kettle full of dust and the smell…..oh the smell

Polite and interactive staff. Clean and bright room including shower room. Very creaking floors though so apologise to any guests staying below.
Shame the bar was closed for refurb and little disappointed with the continental breakfast choices. Maybe will be better when done when and if we stay again as great location.
Overall a nice hotel good value for money I booked three rooms only continental breakfast available as there kitchen was out of commission. The only thing was that they couldn't give me an invoice for my stay as no one knew how to use the computer on reception, not good when you have claim back your expenses.
The hotel was comfortable and staff friendly, the room was clean and tidy, warm and bathroom clean too.
The breakfast was Continental type, no cooked breakfast on offer.
The Bar was basic, no frills but the Bar Staff were helpful and informative with local news.

Nice hotel, nice staff, hard to get ahold of sometimes as there wasn’t anyone coming when we ringed the bell.
Lovely room and breakfast included.
Hotel room wasn’t cleaned properly, stains on furniture etc
Room was equipped with tea and coffee however some empty bags from previous attendants and also no teaspoons which suggests room wasn’t cleaned/seen to properly

Basic, clean and cheap.
A very good price for a deluxe room but it wasn't a true representation of the pictures displayed on hotels.com. A basic room for a good rate. Buses into the centre of Aberdeen are very regular and takes 15 minutes. Taxi costs £7. All in all a good New Years stay.
The restaurant was closed since August we were not told.
We were to late to book anywhere for Christmas lunch everywhere was closed. If you had informed us we could have booked earlier. We got a taxi into the city centre no where was open we took a taxi back to the hotel decided to have a few drinks and were told we had to drink in the public bar as the manager and family were having their Christmas meal in the lounge and the at 9pm we were put out of there as they were having a family get together.
As for the room John wiped what he thought was condensation from the window and it was black mould, he already has respiratory problems and I don't think this helped . He apologised to the receptionist about the state of the towel. All in all it was the worst Christmas ever.I think your staff when they tell us there is a restaurant, they should also mention it is closed.
Really lovely hotel with free parking. Some rooms don't have window views that's all. It took a while for our booking to be found on their system as well. About 20 minutes
