“Had a very comfortable stay at Smiddy Haugh. Very clean and comfortable room with nice toiletries in bathroom. Owners were very welcoming and made us aware of all relevant information, I.e. heating, dining, check out, car parking.
We had a delicious breakfast and would certainly recommend and visit again.”

“Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, da behindertengerecht. Es war sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. Das Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich, das Frühstück reichlich und gut.
Einziger Mangel, die Toilettenspülung, eine Zumutung. Nicht effektiv und egal ob mit oder ohne Behinderung, eine Herausforderung.
Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, würden es wieder buchen.”

“The scone arms is a lovely place to stay. It was lovely and clean the staff were very accomodating. Breakfast was very good with excellent choice, I would highly recommend it. Great value”

“It is a wonderful, small hotel! Clean, comfortable, updated rooms with everything you need. Breakfast is included, providing lots of choices, and it is very, very good. It is on the main road, so easy to get to by bus or car and has parking if you need it. June, the owner, is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Plus she has an awesome sense of humour! I enjoyed my stay very much and I would highly recommend it!”
