“You could not beat the location! It's just a five- to 10-minute walk to the shops in Lower Town and all the historical landmarks. The listing was exactly as described and featured everything one could need for a few nights' stay—I really appreciated the electric skillet so that I had the option to cook something more substantial if I didn't want to eat out. There were definitely a lot of bugs (specifically big and small ants), but that was clearly disclosed in the listing. When there were people……

“Absolutely Great stay. The host was outstanding and responded to us very quickly with all our questions. The history and the view are outstanding. We went fishing and walked on the Forge all the way across right at our front door. One of the best places I ever stayed. Must visit Downtown Shepherdtown and Hapers Ferry. Sooo much history . Also must eat at Rock Hill Creamery absolutely the best ice cream Ive ever had.”

Me, my husband, and small dog spent hours on the deck, people watching, admiring the butterflies and the scenery, and drinking local wine from the cute store across the street. Just a minute's walk to restaurants and a cafe, with an amazing ice cream shop down the steps. The house was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Highly recommend. ”
