"Surprised to find a 5* hotel did not include breakfast. Difficult to stay asleep because the only bed-covering was a very thick doona which could not be replaced by a thinner blanket as none was provided and there was no top sheet.
Credit card surcharge was exorbitant.
Major renovations in progress, but no notification or rebate.
Room provisions were inadequate (tissues, sanitary pad disposal bags).
Not what one would expect of an entity that trades on excellence."
