Handy location and good room size, two bedroom apartment was great. Suggest getting car park ticket from hotel at check in as upon our checkout no reception was available which meant car park was much more than anticipated as had to pay direct to car park.

Great stay and location.

Arrived before check in, requested to leave bags until able to check in - was made to feel like an inconvenience. Was charged a $200 deposit for the room when I had already paid for the room outright. Unable to check in past 5pm due to reception closing, was told to pick up keys from different apartment. Arrived at said apartment to collect keys at 5.05pm and keys had not been delivered yet. Finally got to apartment and realised no portacot had been left in the room (was a special request) which lead to my 6 week old having to sleep in the pram. Unable to bring this to anyone’s attention in person as reception did not open until 9am and we checked out early.

Whilst we had a large and spacious balcony (first floor apartment) there was no balcony furniture and the floor of it was dirty (cigarette butts). Water pressure in the shower was ok but not fantastic. Water temperature nice and hot. No exhaust fan in the bathroom; I only had short showers and the mirror did not steam up. The lift made groaning noises, and there is obvious lift works not completed (there is a sign stating as such, which indicates it's been like this for a considerable amount of time). Bed quite firm. Bedrooms quite stuffy; air conditioner only in the lounge room. Had to unplug a bedside lamp to plug in my phone charger to have my phone on bedside table. Ample wardrobes in both bedrooms although there was no full length hanging space in one of the bedrooms, only half height hanging and shelves. Mirror on the inside of one of the wardrobe doors. Some skirt and shirt hangers in wardrobe. Couch had quite a few dirty marks on it. Loud music played Friday and Saturday nights until 1am. Entrance to the car park is a *VERY* tight corner. Other family scraped the side of their hire car when exiting. Also have to be *extremely* close to the gate for the remote control to work - this is known by the management as the reception staff advise this is how it is. When on a very steep incline, trying to deal with this was stressful. Very convenient location with a supermaket and eateries within easy walking distance.

We were very pleased with the quietness of our apartment considering we were facing Frome street and the central location to all that Adelaide offers, but that was probably about all that was excellent about the apartment. The problems we encountered. The very small bar fridge was unable to keep our drinks cold cool was about the best it could do. We wanted to put our wineglasses and bottles of water in the freezer to rapidly call them but unfortunately the freezer compartment was 1/3 blocked of an thawed ice that has been accumulating for an extended amount of time rendering the freezer part useless. This led to the two wine glasses that we put into the freezer falling out and smashing across the tiles when we opened the fridge door. The shower screen is very dangerous it is made of glass and is of the thinnest material. Each time we had a shower we had to make sure that we gently closed The very thin glass shower door , otherwise we’ve been another situation with broken glass. But generally the apartment is very tired the decor and furnishings date back 20 years and are completely underwhelming.

I’m not one to ever leave a negative review but me, nor the 3 other people who stayed at the property with me were impressed. I stay at hotels often for work and I wouldn’t stay here. Positives first. Good location for what we needed it for, big apartment, quiet hotel, cute Christmas tree in the lobby. Negatives (sorry) Check in was hard? The person was hard to understand and I seemed like an inconvenience because I couldn’t understand a lot of what was happening. Everything just seemed so complicated. He was however friendly enough. Dirty pillows, reception closes at 5pm, Exhaust fan in bathroom was so loud we couldn’t sleep (no option to turn it off) the bedrooms were so hot with no ventilation or cooling. None of us had a good sleep. The reason for us staying was as we were attending an event across the road, so very convenient for us to be able to walk across the road to our hotel. But mid next year I have another event at the same venue and I’ll be choosing to stay elsewhere even if that means a bit of a walk or catching a Uber. For $400 a night it seems very steep for the quality of the place. I would hope this review is taken in the right way as a lot of things seem to be something that could be fixed quite easily (e.g. dirty pillows)

coming in late after 5 p.m which many people do when travelling,i had to walk all the down to hindley street with my bags,because the access is denied even to store your bags,iwon't do that again
