“We loved our time at the IHG- Intercontinental Crete. It’s centrally located in Agios Nikolaos to great food and shops. The hotel has valet parking and it was very easy to get in and out quickly. The staff could not have been more pleasant. From the moment we arrived, they were very attentive and kind. The breakfast was phenomenal and included with out stay. “Our stay at this hotel was fantastic, the property was spotless, architecture gorgeous, environment serene. It felt like a spa stay; the spa itself was nice though maybe not worth it for just the drop-in pools (the ‘sauna’ especially). It was walking, albeit a good 30-40 min, distance to town which was filled with cute cafes, shopping and fantastic dinner spots. The water was pristine, loungers comfy, beach bar perfect. "We had a great stay at Creta Maris Resort. The all inclusive setup makes it super relaxing – you don’t have to think about anything and can fully unwind. Most staff were friendly and helpful, except for one or two at Enomy Restaurant whose English made communication tricky, and the luggage staff who seemed a bit indifferent. Food-wise, I recommend booking the à la carte restaurants. Buffets offer variety but are average in quality. Enomy has more choices than Estia. We tried Alatsi – excellent service, amazing sea view, food slightly salty, but the crème brûlée was a highlight. Desserts overall are large and satisfying. Pool bar snacks weren’t great, but drinks and cocktails were excellent – perfect for sunny poolside moments. Our room had a partial sea view and the resort is beautiful, with lots of photo spots. There’s a private beach, plenty of pools, and activities you can book easily through their app. I suggest staying at least 3 days. With 4 or 5 nights, you can also explore the town. Overall, it’s not super luxury, but it’s a great fit for families and covers a wide range of needs. Recommended."
