"I booked this place at the last minute because my family arrived earlier than their original flight schedule. It was advertised “with free breakfast” on Expedia. Upon checking in, the concierge of the property told them based on their rules, breakfast is included depending on how much did you pay, and what we paid for doesn’t have it. "I only rated it “good” because there was remodeling construction going on. Otherwise, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. We love the location right on the beach and the restaurant food was great, especially the complimentary breakfast that didn’t skimp. I would definitely book again."

Wilfred had excellent knowledge about the area, he told us to eat at Seabreeze Cafe on the beachfront which was a wonderful introduction to the Filipino menu. Gladys & Norma in the Orchard Cafe at breakfast gave us fabulous service regarding the local cuisine & efficient service."

"I had a wonderful stay at Best Western Ivywall. The food was delicious, with a great variety of choices, and every meal was fresh and flavorful. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. The pool was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel's location is also excellent—conveniently close to many attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to get around. Overall, I highly recommend Best Western Ivywall for its outstanding service, great food, relaxing amenities, and excellent location. I look forward to staying here again!"

Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort

"Had a great stay here. I wanted to be away from the night life but also night far. This spot was quiet at night and let me get some rest. But when I was ready to hit the beach and explore around they called for a tuktuk for me. Price per ride was only 100php so well worth it. The resort has a nice spot for breakfast with a beach front view. It seemed to always be low tide during my stay so I didn’t use the private beach but it looked nice. The pool area is spacious and clean. Pool was clean as well. The room had an ice box for a AC in it. I loved that part. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. Any questions I had they were on it. I would absolutely stay here again."

"Stayed here from Jul 6-Jul 10. Let me start by saying that I’ve traveled to a lot of places in the Caribbean and South Palms beat all them without a doubt! This place is excellent and the service is impeccable! Unlike places I’ve been to where the staff only care about tips so they would act interested, South Palms staff genuinely are attentive, hospitable, caring, helpful, and friendly. All without expecting any tips whatsoever! They just show up willingly and you’ll feel so at ease with everyone! They really all go above and beyond! My husband and I definitely tipped the staff because they deserve it! We got a pool access room and it was truly amazing! Very spacious and out of all the hotels I’ve been to, South Palms housekeeping seems to be early hahaha - that’s not necessarily a bad thing! But sometimes, we’re just not early birds! But my favorite has to be the turn down service. They really pay attention to details with this and I’m impressed with how they do it. The food at Uma is amazing! Even those who don’t necessarily eat Filipino food should still have options at Manja! Sirenna Bar is great and love the atmosphere! Keep it up South Palms! You definitely hold the title of most luxurious resort in Panglao! I’ll make sure to recommend this place to families and friends who plan on visiting Panglao in the future!"

"Lovely big rooms and a very well maintained resort. It has its own pool but you can also use the pool/jacuzzi/swim-up bar of the sister resort next door. It’s easily walkable to both the beach and main stretch of Alona Beach. I only had breakfast once but it was reasonably priced and very speedy. The only slightly negative is that the road immediately outside the resort is paved but the roads that link everywhere else are unpaved/rocky tracks and not very well lit at night. It’s not the most comfortable if arriving by taxi/tricycle."
