"I was super excited about staying at this resort because I had heard amazing things about it, but unfortunately my experience was the complete opposite. I understand that every resort has its own policies, but one thing El Salvador is known for is its hospitality—and sadly, the staff here did not reflect that at all. During checkout, instead of simply processing our departure, they told us to wait while they inspected the room to make sure we hadn’t taken anything. That felt extremely offensive. If this is standard policy, it should have been explained professionally. Instead, the staff member told my husband it was because we were in “El Salvador,” which is completely unacceptable and should never be used as an explanation. Overall, this experience left a very negative impression and was far below the level of hospitality we expected."
