Everything was very nice overall, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that there wasn’t a designated smoking area on the property. Guests who want to enjoy a cigar and a drink have to walk off the property, and the designated area is quite far away. I think it would be a great improvement if the property could allocate a comfortable outdoor area where guests can enjoy a drink and a cigar without having to leave the property. Even cruise ships have designated smoking areas for guests, so I believe this would be a nice amenity to consider. It would make the experience even more enjoyable for guests who appreciate having a place to relax and unwind.

Don’t book if you are looking for a nice place to stay , if you are ok with mid looking spots than go ahead.To me it had potential to be a beautiful place but they didn’t build it correctly from the start. Things look very poorly built floors are cracked and the pool looked dingy.The staff was nice tho but I didn’t want to eat there type of vibe.

Our stay at Gaia Hotel & Reserve was wonderful, but what truly made it exceptional was the outstanding level of service. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness of the entire staff. You can tell that providing exceptional service is part of the culture of this hotel. Everyone made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease throughout our stay. A few people especially stood out: Chris at the front desk and concierge was fantastic—always attentive, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Oscar was wonderful from the moment we arrived, helping with our luggage and transporting us around the property with such kindness and a great attitude. The restaurant staff was equally impressive, especially Abraham and Jack, along with the rest of the team, who were consistently warm, helpful, and attentive. The property itself is beautiful, but for us, the people were the true highlight. Exceptional hospitality and a level of service that we will absolutely remember. Thank you to the entire Gaia team for making our stay in Manuel Antonio so special!

We stayed in room 20. Awesome view. Close to the office,breakfast and dining room/bar. Because this was low season, not a lot going on. Very quite. We had dinner 2 night with the cheif Sofia. What great meals. We walked into the small town for 3 other dinners. The Managers had very good recommendations. Also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
