The staff are very responsive and helpful, though the property itself is showing its age and could use some updates. The rooms were somewhat dusty, particularly under the beds, and the elevator and stairwell corners would benefit from a more thorough cleaning. Perfect service, good breakfast, the host explaining everything we needed to know and very servicial, she offered us breakfast to take out because we had to leave early before breakfast time, very kind of her, the hotel was always clean and bed is comfortable. Despite first impressions - the hotel is down a small scruffy side street- Pi Athens ticked a lot of boxes for me. We had Apartment #1 which was a good size for the four of us, an open plan set up with a comfortable double bed, a sofa room and two single beds tucked away in the corner behind a curtain. The bathroom was big, the shower was lovely and the air con worked a treat. The location was also excellent, ridiculously close to the impressive Panathenaic Olympic Stadium and a 20-25min walk to the centre (Acropolis etc) through a nice park. Why not 5 stars? Little things like the door handle to the bathroom falling apart, and the breakfast being a bit poor. Centrally located, large studio, elevator directly to the room, very safe and quiet. Breakfast hours were extended only for us, and we could use the facilities even after noon checkout time so we got to do more sightseeing before returning to the hotel for a quick refresher and take out lunch and then heading out to the airport.
