We found the property clean and comfortable. The house is less than 20 minutes away from Cedar Island ferry landing and the boat ramp we used to access the Pamlico sound.

Clean and plenty of room
Billy was an a amazing host. He made sure we were good the entire time we were there. This house was perfect for our family. We only wish the cable got more channels but we were happy with it no doubt. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful Neighborhood Gem
Tucked back in a quiet residential neighborhood, you'll enjoy the beauty surrounding this classic home - reminiscent of a by-gone era. The mature trees, large yard & wrap-around porch provide privacy & plenty of room for outdoor enjoyment. Inside rooms were spacious, very clean & the kitchen well-equipped. This was our 2nd stay in this home and we look forward to another.

Me and my family rented this beautiful vacation home check in on Saturday left tue Billy was great he gave us places to take the kids we enjoyed our visit the house was really nice and lot's of room for our 4 kids we enjoyed staying there. Big yard for the kids to do stuff very peaceful to there. Thinking about coming back again for another family vacation there.

Great weekend getaway!
Overall great stay for our quick weekend getaway. House was comfortable, had everything we needed, was quiet and secluded like the listing advertised, and was a perfect space for kids (big yard, good size home with multiple rooms/beds); we traveled with our 18 month old and the house was large enough for him to roam when we were inside, yard was large enough for him to run, kick his soccer balls, and mow with his bubble mower. We also prefer quiet and secluded areas, and don’t mind traveling to whatever we want to do, so the quick 15 minutes to Cedar Island or 40 minutes to Harkers Island (take the ferry to Shackleford Banks or Cape Lookout!) was perfect. Finally, as other reviewers confirmed, Billy was exceptional, responsive, and welcoming. We would stay again!!

Off the beaten path, which is just what I was looking for. House has everything you need and is very comfortable. Area is quiet and restful. Suggest bring a boat; or arrange to fish or visit outer banks beach for shelling with a local guide. Also be sure to walk or bike around the friendly community. Billy is an excellent host and can provide any information you may need once you arrive

We had a wonderful time. The only thing was that there were ants on the front porch. there were ants on the front porch, the upstairs commode was not in proper working order, and there wasn't any lighting in the hallway upstairs. but we made the most of it and had a great time the upstairs commode was not in proper working order. Needs outdoor furniture, and there needs to be lighting for the upstair hallway.

Awesome location
Seeking a place to take respite between the fishing trips. Ample room, clean with lots of privacy and room to maneuver a 19' boat. Only complaint was missing kitchen utensils such as a spatula for flipping fried eggs and large spoons and slanted ceiling in upstairs bedroom with an elevated bed but the mattress slept great. Will definitely book again!

Pretty good. One lacking feature.
A nice older cottage that has been somewhat updated. Clean. It is a great area, fairly remote and a long drive to get groceries. We enjoyed our stay very much. Very large yard. Mosquitos are all over this area, so bring your bug spray. There were ants in the house, and they got into the car outside as well. Not a huge number or anything, but be sure not to leave food in your car or that might cause a problem. We took our 4wd out to Cape Lookout. It was about a 15 minute drive to get to the ferry. Really great day. There are a few local restaurants, and the nearest full size grocery store is quite some distance. Due to the remoteness of the area and lack of any close shopping, some sort of book with local information would have been great. A list of restaurants, convenience stores, gas, full grocery stores would have been very helpful. Other VRBO rentals we have stayed at had local information like this available. For the house, there is a huge wrap around port. But not a single piece of patio furniture on it. Its a complete shame, there is a sliding door from the small dining room off the kitchen that leads out there. There is a charcoal weber grill. It begs to have a bbq, but there is no patio furniture at all. Just a bare, giant wood deck. I would also suggest to the owners to get a propane grill for renters. It is unrealistic for renters to get charcoal for the current grill due to distance to shopping. And what to do with left over charcoal when time to leave. We had a great stay. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the complete lack of any patio furniture.

Comfy Peaceful Seclusion
If you're looking for a nice comfy spot to get away from life's troubles and be secluded among the peaceful trees of Atlantic NC, this is the spot for you! The house was clean, accomodating, and just a drive away from more amenities. House is a short drive to Cedar Island beach and about 40 minutes from all the Beaufort NC has to offer. We loved staying here and would do so again.
