“We booked two family rooms ( for 6 peoples) and called in advance to inform that we need to stay on the same floor. Staff said they have a remark, but they didn’t arranged and not available. Rooms are good.But only the sofa double bed very uncomfortable. We enjoyed the slider in the swimming pool. But the hot top water are very dirty and you can smell the water was too irritating. Breakfast was good. Pancake machine can make a great pancake by yourself. We enjoy the stay. ”

“The property is in a great location with restaurants and shops a short walk away. We stayed in a 2nd floor unit with a beautiful view of the lake. The building we were in didn't have an elevator so be prepared to carry your bags upstairs if you're not on the ground floor. Our room had been renovated with the exception of the bathroom, which was definitely a little dated, but completely functional. We did have an issue getting more than luke warm water for our showers the morning of our check……

“Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance, they were adding chemicals. We were a group of 6 friends & asked if we could simply sit in the pool area on the lawn chairs and were told no because of this inconvenience we were virtually left with no slit to enjoy the beautiful day. If not for this would certainly had given a higher rating. Everything else was good with the property”

“Hotel was good. I expected it to be a little more polished from the pictures and reviews. Bedding was cheap and beds were okay. Main areas of the hotel were quite beautiful. Restaurant was really nice and good food although few choices.”

“Over all property was great. Unfortunately, the breakfast option is Sneaky. It’s a voucher where you can only chose one particular menu. Anything else you chose will be covered only $15. Not only that, the amount of time it takes to prepare was insane. We were at the restaurant at 7.10 am and food was served at 8:15 am We are on road trip, so we have particular timing to head out .. it’s not that we are whole day in that city. If the breakfast part was clarified ahead, would be better for us……

“Solid stay at Candlewood Suites in St. John's. The staff were friendly, and the hotel is in a very safe part of the city. Our room was updated and fully stocked with everything you'd need. Nice view of Signal Hill in the distance, and the two separate thermostats were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. No complaints — would recommend.”

“The room was a standard room with 2 double beds. Very disappointed that the room was smaller than the standard room with 2 double beds from other hotels. The furnishings were old and rundown. The springs in the arm chair were completely gone. The mattress snagged in the middle, totally uncomfortable to sleep in. Carpet looked dirty, like the hallways. If the hotel advertised that it was recently renovated, they must have forgotten to renovate Room 122. Maybe the Steele Corporation can do a……
