In early Spring the protected landscape comes alive with snowdrops and nesting birds while in May the nearby woods burst into colour as the native bluebells carpet the forest floor. Nature enthusiasts will delight in the frequent visits from badgers, deer, rabbits and, in season, a vast variety of butterflies and moths. Rare bats roost in the cider barn while woodpeckers, wagtails, swallows, and other birds nest nearby.
