The hotel is almost adjacent to the city's music theater, close to great dining options and only a 20 minute walk (uphill) to the medieval fortress Sparrenburg which is absolutely worth a visit and offers great views over Bielefeld and its surroundings. "The hotels we usually go to in Bielefeld (Amedia Express, Weitblick) were booked out and we tried this hotel. We were somewhat disappointed by the hotel given the positive reviews: -The building and room are a bit dated. The mattress and bed frame were not very solid. -There was a lingering smell similar to electric burning in the room. -WiFi was unreliable and did not always work. -There was no staff at check-in (on a Sunday afternoon). The location is fine. There is plenty of free parking and it is a reasonable budget hotel, just not what we expected."
