We arrived 45 minutes after the 3:00 pm check in and the front desk was friendly and efficient and room was ready. The room was clean and not cluttered with out of place furnishings. This was our first stay at a Microtel facility. I found the complimentary breakfast to be very boring so we went to the Eggs Up Grill on Goodman Road for a fantastic breakfast!
After touring Graceland we returned late that next afternoon, was greeted by the front desk and went to our room to relax. Decided to get some early bedtime so we could get up and out around 6 am. Sometime near 10:45 pm I was awakened by the sound of a phone ringing. It seemed like it was coming from an adjacent room. Shortly after the phone stopped ringing there was a series of door knocking I ignored until the knocking got very insistent and hard and was at my door. I was not happy. Through the door view I recognized the front desk staff so opened the door to ask why I was woke. ( Room paid in full in advance). She asked what my name was because the room was not showing in the system? I told her obviously my door key worked as the room was locked and we were trying to sleep. She did apologize and wandered off. Bizarre. The next morning as I decided to look over emails I saw an email from Microtel by Wyndam saying my reservation had been canceled that prior day. I did not at anytime ask to cancel and my room keys still worked. Who knows. Probably wont stay there again.
