This hotel was better than I expected. Check in was smooth and quick. The room was spacious enough with complimentary water coffee and slippers. The only complaint was the bathroom. The shower and the toilet occupied the same space. To get to the toilet you have to pass through the shower. Taking a shower spills water on the toilet bowl and tank. If you need to go the toilet later on you have to cross the wet shower tiles and dry the seat. The recessed area for the soap was next to the toilet and not in the shower. The bathroom was surely a sore point.
The free breakfast was totally worth it. There was cereal, pancakes, eggs, sausages, sweet potatoes, plantains, channa, veggies and more. All in all a great stay but for the bathroom complaint. Definitely worth staying here.

With the exception of the loud music coming from multiple day visitors the property was well maintained over the years… last visited 20 years ago. The staff were friendly and very helpful, food and ambience was top shelf compared to the other resorts and hotels in Georgetown. Add this to your list when visiting Guyana.

Everything was ok except breakfast. My friend ordered pepperpot and she got a bowl full of fat and no meat. When i mentioned it, I felt we were totally ignored. She never came back with somwthing else or a response.
