"Clean rooms, friendly staff "

"Fun setting! The weather was bad and we had planned to walk the area for shopping and wine tasting, so we had to stay in, but there was plenty to do within the hotel. Comfortable bed, wonderful coffee available in the hall in the morning. Good food and drink! The live music was really good (Bre Palleta). I would recommend a QR code to be able to pay a tip for the cleaning staff."

"From the time we stepped in the door late at night to when we left we were greeted with a smile and team members interested in us. The breakfast was also great for a free breakfast with eggs, meat and potatoes and warm cinnamon rolls among other items. The place also looked like new with varied seating in the lobby. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Definitely recommend. "

"We had a serious issue, like being locked out of our paid for room by the agent on duty for alleged non payment. The GM handled it the next day with full satisfaction. We Will absolutely be returning. "

"This hotel is in a perfect location for walking around Salem. Close to dining and shopping, the state Capitol, and the Riverfront. The buffet breakfast is impressive. Our room was large and comfortable with all the usual amenities. When we visit Salem, we make a point to stay at The Grand Hotel."

"The reception desk was very good at explaining how important it was to keep your car parked in between two ends of the hotel in order for you to avoid getting towed. Parking was close to the building and around the building. The front desk was able to find my reservation very quickly so I could tell that they were prepared. Another client has said that she was really busy but she still is very kind and happy. I really appreciated her positive customer service mindset. She explained different things for me. Went up to my room and I was impressed with house Spacey the room was. I was more impressed that the building itself probably of course is not the newest but it was very well cared for very clean and had so much space to put your personal belongings too. Just going into the room was a large mirror in front of the sink and the counter space around the sink was large enough then there was a lower counter space next to that attached where you could put your other belongings or your tote bags. Then when you walked into the space close to your bed bed sheets were folded under the mattress tightly clean everything the counters were clean that you put you're provided a little bit of everything. I was grateful for some hotels that have a lower price like this one had for me you don't get soap or conditioner or anything like that but this place did have all the basics. The offered you soap of course for your hands so for bathing a small shampoo small conditioner extra toilet paper. "

"I wasnt sure how the room service worked. No one came by until the day before i checked out of a 4 nite stay. Just need3d more heads up on how room aervice worked. All linens were morw than adequate for the 4 nites."
