It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax.

Lovely property in beautiful location. Far enough from Kandy to be very quiet but close enough for excursions. Very high level of finish and quality.

Excellent service all the staff was so nice. My room was very nice and the view of the mountains from my terrace was beautiful. The food was also very good.

On the plus side, it's a beautifully situated property, very nicely decorated, with tasty breakfast and good, caring service with a smile. On the minus side, there is no noise insulation in the room at all, you will get very loud environmental noises leech into the room from outside all day and night. Luckily I brought earplugs so I wasn't bothered that much. There was a good amount of spider webs around the A/C and one live but small roach on the towel rack. Overall it was a pleasant stay,...

Besides the long steps up to our room, this was a very pleasant stay for my sisters and I. The owner was very nice and welcomed us. The property has such a beautiful view. The property itself is very cozy sitting on a hill. Every morning breakfast is served, fresh eggs, delicious toast, juice and tea. I absolutely loved this place! My family and I stayed here for two nights while we were in Sri Lanka for our winter vacation. Prior to our arrival, the owner of the hotel contacted me, and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. Just an excellent, excellent stay from start to finish in this historic Colonial building. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the team really just was top notch and really cared about quality of food. The loft was a hit with the kids and the fine correction of loose tea was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would have loved to have stayed longer. The kids dipped their legs in the pool, but also didn't have the chance to swim due to time constraints....

What a location.. a dream The hotel improved a lot in the last years. This was our 4 th time we stayed here. The buffet is wonderful really gourmet!! And the staff is professional absolutely!
