"They have pictures of nice and clean beautiful rooms in the website but this is not true. The room smelled and it had little bugs in the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has mold and it was very warm. The towels had stains. I would not recommend this unless your on a very low budget. "

"Our second visit to Apparteo Bordeaux and equally enjoyable! The room on the top floor was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great terrace for outdoor dining - very relaxing and appreciated as it was 30C+. A lot of renovation of the surrounding area makes for a very pleasant stay with loads of waterside restaurants, the lovely Halles de Bacalan and, of course the Cite du Vin. Can recommend taking the No. 4 bus from directly across the road to the Château de Pape Clemente...

"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. A bit of an issue getting the right entrance (for anyone reading this, there are 2 enterances and you need the right one and may be told the wrong one!), but once all sorted, the appartment was perfect and in a great locations. "Overall the stay at this hotel was excellent from check in, to breakfast, through dinner and cocktail options as well as the amenities, everything was well thought through. My only comments are that we did not receive our VIP perks, water was €12 & with the temperatures this is excessive even for a 5* hotel. Finally the aircon was great but every evening it was turned off so in the evening it was difficult to sleep. "

"Room was very comfy and the small kitchenette meant we could have breakfast/lunch there if we chose to. The apartments are located next to a tram station allowing quick access into the centre but is also very close to the river with a lively promenade route available for walking into the centre (about 30 mins ). We also used the promenade for our morning run on a couple of mornings. It is also very convenient for the Cite Du Vin which was five minutes walk away. Overall, we found the staff friendly and helpful. Great to have parking in the basement but access is through a side road and you need an access code to enter - which was a bit tricky to figure out on arrival. Overall, we were very impressed and felt it offered very good value for money."
