“The hotel is above a pub. The pub food is good and economical compared to many other restaurants and pubs in the area. Our room, 101, was spacious with two windows. It had high ceilings and its own bathroom and shower. There was comfortable single sofa chair, and desk and chair.”

“Tired room. Minimal but some noise. Comfortable bed. Continental breakfast only but at 9:00 on weekends causing my journey to be delayed Pay parking in car park across the road. Free from 17:00-09:00 which conflicts with timing for breakfast”

“Fantastic stay at Central Wave Brighton. The location is great, really central and easy to get everywhere on foot. The room was clean and comfortable, and nicely done considering it’s an older building. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Check-in was easy and everything ran smoothly. Communication was good, and it was nice to have someone at reception if needed. Overall, great value for money and a really pleasant stay. We’d happily come back.”

“The best thing I can say about this place is that the staff memberqho greeted me was friendly, and the bed was comfortable. That said, I was very tired after a very full day, so I probably could have fallen asleep on concrete. The room was grimy and shabby. It didn't look like it had been cleaned particularly well. Surfaces were wiped, but I don't think the carpet had been hoovered. I won't be staying there again.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“The room was ideal ***** for myself as a solo traveller. This top floor room was nicely decorated. clean, secure, facilities perfect and no noise from the stairs/common area, nor outside. Could not fault the room at all. Decor throughout the hotel generally was very pleasant. The lift was out of order however it didn't spoil my stay as although one of the agile older generation, was up and down the stairs in no time at all. ”

“It was value for money £35 per night but it is very tired and needs a lot of tiding up. I had to ask for toilet rolls when I got to my room also the mug was still dirty so had to ask for a clean one. Saying that I slept well and the staff were helpful when asked.”
