One of six LUXURY cabins on 25 acres of property. This charming cozy log cabin nestled in Highrock Acres, with a bonfire pit, large pond, horseshoe pit, hammock, picnic tables, long creek and walking trails with all the comforts of home. It's a perfect getaway for those that love nature, while still only minutes to quaint historic downtown black mountain and very close to Asheville, and dogs are welcomed. This cabin has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a loft, log fireplace, 2 flat screen televisions with DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, free long distance, free internet service and a large covered deck with jacuzzi & gas grill overlooking the lighted fountain in the pond. Perfect location for multiple families and/or groups traveling together - see also Highrock Preserve, Highrock Haven, Highrock Retreat and Mitchell View - all within walking distance to this cabin.

During mid December through the month of February, we do require 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive in case of snow and ice conditions. We can never predict the weather and some years it's hit or miss.

We thoroughly clean and wash all bedding and towels between each stay. We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces as well (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in!

Outdoor recreation and outdoor adventures are seemingly endless in the Western North Carolina mountains, the outdoor playground of the Southeast along with the conveniences of city life. Acclaimed by numerous magazines as a top outdoor adventure destination. Take a walk through historic downtown Black Mountain and discover numerous upscale gift shops, galleries and Appalachian-style craft stores. From the most upscale cuisine to country cooking and BBQ, the area is home to over forty restaurants sure to please any palate.

Great relaxing stay.
Cabin and grounds clean, organized and neat. Communication easy and effective with easy to follow check in. Property manager communicated earlier in the day of check-in to let us know of their availability and wish us safe travels. Some personalized touches waiting for us in at the cabin. Nice and quite location without being far away from activities and entertainment (Biltmore Estate 30 to 40 minutes away). Planning to make this our stay for future western NC vacations.

Quiet Getaway
My family and I were looking for a quiet weekend getaway, and this cozy cabin was perfect!! Super clean, plenty of space, and everything we needed for a relaxing trip! It was very close to downtown, and we really enjoyed walking around and visiting the shops. There were plenty of food options, cute coffee shops, and places to have a drink and hang out. I can’t think of any negatives about the property or location! I’m already planning another trip for next year, and I will definitely book this cabin if it’s available!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Forest Getaway
This little cabin is a real treat in the beautiful mountains near Asheville, TN. My husband and I stayed at the cabin while I attended a course in Asheville then we stayed a few extra days to enjoy the Biltmore Estate and local sites. While a little "off the beaten path" there were other cabins nearby. We enjoyed the efforts of the owners to provide trails and the pond with fire pit. We did not see any bears but saw signs of a bear near the pond and along the trail. The hot tub was awesome and very relaxing at the end of the day even though it dipped down to 45° at night. We would definitely stay again!

Black Mountain Cabin
This property was perfect for our stay in Black Mountain and Asheville. We were here to hike and explore the area and this cabin provided a great location for that. It was great to unwind at this cozy cabin each night and our dogs loved the hiking trails on the property. It is a bit difficult to get to this cabin and I’d suggest having a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it to others!

Nice cabin deep in the woods. The gravel roads (hills) were washboarded so you definitely will want a vehicle that can handle this. We enjoyed our time at the cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin has everything you need and was perfect for a quiet getaway.

Peaceful Getaway
The Meadow is a great cabin. It was more than spacious enough for us. The hot tub was a great bonus in the evening when the air cooled down. We loved the trails on the property, the huge fire pit surrounded by the pond and seeing the mama bear and baby cubs was a wonderful treat! I highly recommend this cabin if you want to feel secluded, but still close enough to town to get some dinner at one of the restaurants in Black Mountain or take a ride into Asheville. We will definitely return.

What an amazing stay we had! It was so beautiful and peaceful - a perfect place to get away and have time together and listen and watch the nature surrounding us. We sat on the porch each morning watching the hawks patrol the pond and listening to the creek. We made s’mores at the fire pit by the pond. We hiked the trails on the property and enjoyed the hammock and horseshoes. And we enjoyed board games and the private hottub each evening. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure was great, the laundry machines were very clean, all appliances and kitchenware were in excellent condition. The house was perfectly clean and filled with everything we needed and more. The property manager was so attentive to our needs and gave us great recommendations. Our AWD vehicle didn’t have a problem with the gravel road drive to the cabin and we easily came and went to town to enjoy a few restaurants, shops, more hiking, a trip to Biltmore, and convenience to the grocery store. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. This location was perfect for the two of us, our two pre-teens and our tiny dog. I absolutely recommend this cabin 100%!

Cabin for rest and relaxation
I selected the location to use as a place to stay while attending the Montreat Music Conference. I enjoyed my time at the cabin as it was a restful location. The owner was very responsive to receiving a phone call for further directions and helpful in helping get me to the right location. It is a great hide a way from the stresses of life. Everything needed is provided. I enjoyed coming back to stay in the cabin each day. The front porch was the perfect location for reading and Bible study.

Great mountain getaway
The location is pretty remote, which we enjoyed.The dirt/gravel road was a little rough and narrow at times, but overall our AWD Subaru didn't have any issues and traffic was low. The cabin is beautiful and clean. We loved the pond out front. The internet is not very good, but that's to be expected given the location. No one was at the cabin next door during our stay, so it was very quiet. We saw a bear jump in the pond the first evening, that was really cool. The kitchen was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and there's a big grocery store in town, so we were able to make several meals. The hot tub was very relaxing. The cabin supplied almost everything we needed to have a great stay, and I got to bring my dogs. I would definitely stay there again. Black Mountain is a beautiful little town!

Beautiful and peaceful
We took our kids- ages 15 and 4 for spring break to our favorite vacation spot. Black Mountain. Stayed the whole week and I can't say enough good things about the cabin. We have stayed at many other vacation rentals. This place was beautiful and well kept. The hot was the first I was actually comfortable going in and was clean and well maintained. The upstairs loft was perfect for our younger child. Plenty of room for all 4 of us and the property was well kept and the trails were nice to hike the property and explore. My only suggestion would be to have blinds or curtains over the doors. We definitely enjoyed this vacation amd will be looking to book with them again next year.
