We only stayed two days while exploring the Blue Mountains but the Chalet was just as exciting to explore with wall to wall art and charm, even the colorful Rainbow Lorikeet outside entertained us while having breakfast.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Blue Mountains. With car hire we were able to get to activities early before the hoards on buses came in from Sydney. This hotel may not look like much from the outside but rooms are wonderful inside with solid wood everywhere and very well maintained. We especially liked walking short distance into the town to try out various small town dining and entertainment. The couple that owns and rents this take care of everything and care about the place. Very charming cottage with gourmet kitchen and enchanting yard. Single indoor bathroom may slow family prep time a little, but in warmer months the attached bathroom on back deck would be usable. Plenty of space and tidy

Beautiful historic old fashioned Australian Hotel, very reasonable and ideal room with en-suite for sharing with my son for a hiking trip to the Blue Mountains. Great wholesome food in the restaurant and plenty of options nearby for food.

We needed a place to stay overnight as we drove from Sydney to Dubbo. We were pleasantly surprised with the Black Gold Motel! The rooms were simple but clean. Water pressure, hot water, linens all very good. But really the exceptional breakfast won us over.

This fully renovated Victorian hotel is a rare gem. The stained glass and intricately cut mouldings are gorgeous. The dining room is outstanding. I could imagine eating in there in the 1800's.
The garden area in front was also lovely. We ate in the restaurant there, and the food and service was excellent. I felt like a queen at this place. The only thing I would change would be the nude artwork above our bed. Be sure to take time for some tea and scones.
