Stayed for one night while visiting Chelmsford Races. Loved the lady who checked us in. So friendly & accommodating! Room was not bad. Beds were comfy. But cleaners missed dirty tissues and a confetti box from previous booking. Also pillowcases on one bed smelt of aftershave.

Most of the staff are nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable. There is no lift in the hotel, making it stressful to carry luggage to and fro 2nd floor.

Staff are pleasant.
A local racist drunk appear to frequent the hotel and cause harassment. Staff ill-equipped to address drunken behaviour.
Limited breakfast options especially for alternative milk and vegetarian/vegans.
Local infrastructure work does cause noise but with appropriate times.
A fair distance from the station.
