Where do I even start. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. We arrived at 11PM driving down the coast, looking for somewhere to sleep, so we weren't expecting much. Check-in was smooth, but the room was old, poorly maintained, and barely clean. The bathroom floor was gray and sticky, the shower had open bottles from previous guests, and the water pressure was barely a drizzle. I would normally let that slide, BUT: We left our locked luggage while spending the day in Portland. When we returned around 7PM, the front desk guy laughed and said, "If you don't find a silver or gold box..." I thought nothing of it then. The next day, in another town, I realized my toiletry bag was missing. After checking my luggage and car, I called. Initially they said they had nothing. I checked again and called back—this time they said they found it. They had ~7 hours after checkout to find it, but hadn't mentioned it when I picked up my luggage, so I had to drive 2 hours back. The bag was noticeably lighter: my perfume and body-hair trimmer were missing. I asked them to check housekeeping, assuming I'd misplaced them. They repeatedly said they hadn't seen anything. Only after I asked them to contact the current guests did they check housekeeping. After ANOTHER phone call, they "magically" found my missing items in a bag inside a drawer in their office. Houdini stuff. Weirdest hotel experience ever. Apparently the trimmer was worth risking a terrible review. Spend the night in your car instead.
