Bodmin Vacations from $1,485

Great hotel overlooking Fistral beach with its own on-site surf school. Great amenities, food, facilities and staff. We stayed with teenagers during half-term so it was very busy but the staff were excellent from reception to breakfast. The teenagers had surf lessons and the school staff were very helpful. Shout out to Isaac the surf instructor who was brilliant.

All Very Good

Our room had a balcony, double shower and bath. Very comfy beds. An iron and ironing board would be iseful. The birthday card was a nice touch. The spa needs attention - the jacuzzi still has a broken filter cover and no filter as was the case a year ago when we stayed, but the jacuzzi worked as expected a year ago - this time, the jets cannot be described as jets, more like a fellow jacuzzi occupant was softly passing wind. The lift was working for a few hours on one of the four days we were there - one of our party struggles with walking and had we been made aware during the two weeks the lift wasn't working prior to our arrival, one couple in our party would have booked another hotel. The reception staff were very polite and helpful and kindly printed documents for me on arrival - they had a lot of info to tell us on arrival - it would be useful to put the breakfast times on the information card in the rooms. Silks restaurant food was delicious with excellent waiting staff - highly recommended. There is a huge variety of food options at breakfast and gluten free bread if required. The staff is pleasant, with only one exception. One lady was reluctant to sit our family (4 couples) together. It turns out this was the same lady that last year watched me like a hawk to make sure I didn't eat a morsel as I hadn't paid for breakfast (because I didn't want any!) all the other staff were very friendly and helpful.
