Sugar Mountain getaway with a sweet view!

This cozy, three-bedroom, two-bath cottage provides an open-level floor plan for a comforting environment to entertain guests by the gas fireplace. The deck offers covered and open options for enjoying the layered view across the Banner Elk Valley and over to Beech Mountain. There is an outdoor seating area with a fire pit and a Sugar Mountain ski lift chair converted to a swing. The property has new appliances, a sectional, and an updated gas-burning fireplace. Located at the end of the road, this property has lots of privacy but is still convenient for activities on Sugar, such as skiing, golf, tennis, and mountain biking. Soak in the beautiful views from the comfy sofa in front of the stone fireplace. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchen. This beautifully refreshed 3-bedroom, two-bath property offers a king in the master bedroom with an en-suite bath, a queen in the guest room, and two twins in the third bedroom.

You’ll love our place!
During the winter months, an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle may be needed, depending on road conditions on the mountain. The roads on Sugar Mountain and the driveway are maintained as needed.

A RING floodlight camera security device is installed along the front of the house and up the driveway. This camera provides coverage of the fire pit and near the front door, as well as security for us as owners and our guests.

Beautiful view!

We enjoyed our stay there. A very clean place with every amenities one could need. The covered deck allowed eating out no matter the weather. The beds were comfortable. We had a problem with the internet service provider and tge host handled it right away. A great place to stay!

Great, warm mountain stay with a view

The kids loved the house, couch and beds were very comfortable, heaters worked great, dishes/cooking utensils/etc. were well stocked. All around a great place to stay. Do just keep an eye on winter weather when you are there if you don't have snow tires/chains as the driveway is a bit steep if it gets icy.

Zero complaints

This is one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed in. The rental was stocked with most everything that we needed- kitchen tools, iron, etc. and the view is spectacular. Located very close to Sugar Mountain Ski and close driving distance to other nearby towns. I will be staying here again!

Great views from the deck

House was clean and as listed. Road getting to the cabin can be a little precarious at night for a visitor unfamiliar with the area. Check in was easy enough. Tons of wildlife around. The location was great and our family of 5 had plenty of room. We would absolutely stay here again.

Spectacular view!

This house was an amazing find! It was literally the last house at the top of the mountain in Sugar, spectacular view! We could still walk to the shuttle stop so getting to and from the resort was not a problem. We enjoyed a fire after our day skiing and there plenty of room for relaxing for the 6 of us. The kitchen was the most well stocked equipment wise in any rental we have stayed in. We will definitely stay here again when we ski Sugar!

Beautiful home and well stocked

Home was beautiful and clean. Home well stocked. We enjoyed our trip to sugar mountain. We had 10 in of snow one morning and a 4WD vehicle is a must to get out of this driveway (if traveling in winter beware). The owners have supplies in the home to aid with snow/ice. The Roads on the mountain leading to the home were well taken care of and passable. We loved the area and enjoyed our stay at this home.

Refreshing mountain getaway

Perfect home for our family of 5 with grown children. Plenty of room and comfortable for all. Everyone slept great in the beds. Felt like home as the owner provided all basic necessities and more. Very welcoming. Gorgeous view and so peaceful.

Beautiful home great view

We had a great couple of days skiing/snowboarding at Sugar while staying at this home. It has a beautiful view. It was clean and comfortable. Virginia is great with communication. I would highly recommend. It is everything you would want in a home away from home!

House was great; exactly as pictured. Roomy, warm and nicely decorated. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing views. So close to Sugar Mountain resort, as well as convenient to nearby shops and restaurants. We will definitely return.

Weekend get away for snowtubing

We enjoyed our stay. The veiw of the mountains was so beautiful...sat by the fire and watched the snow fall all day ....it was last house on the road which made it very quite and private. The house was a short drive to snowtubing and ski resort ...our grands had a blast!

New Year's Ski Getaway

We arrived at the property and found everything was as listed and more! The home was neat and clean which was a nice first impression when entering. It was thoughtfully decorated and provided a comfortable space for us to relax after a full day of skiing. You could tell the owner spent time anticipating guests needs by providing very clear instructions for the many amenities in the house as well as a complete guide to the area. The location of the home and view of mountains must be seen in person to be appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

Beautiful Mountain Home

This place is very beautiful. Easy access to Boone, Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain. The Sugar Mountain resort/lodge is a short mile away. Would love to stay here again in the Spring/Summer.

Great home for a ski vacation at Sugar Mt. We enjoyed the home however the steep drive way to the house is difficult even with 4wd when it snowed.

Wonderful house and amazing view!

We enjoyed staying at this property. Be prepared for some winding steep roads, but we became accustomed to the drive right away. We are from FL so if we can, you can maneuver the drive too! Totally worth it. House is central to many areas. Very well appointed. It has everything you need. Communication was also great with questions ahead of time. The view is amazing.
