Family and pet friendly, waterfront cabin on Lost Lake, with private dock

"We had a really great time staying at this beautiful cabin. The description was accurate and it was actually more spacious than I had expected it to be which was really nice. The entire place was very clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower had great water pressure, the kitchen had everything we needed. We found the furniture, including the bed to be comfortable and clean. There is a wood fireplace which we really loved on a couple chilly nights, it added so much to our trip that I wasn't expecting. We had a couple questions prior to and after our arrival, the host was very quick to respond and answered our questions. One thing to remember is that you need to bring your own towels, it is not a problem, just something to be aware of.The only thing we would change, is that the patio door does not have a screen on it so we couldn't really keep that open as much as we would have liked, but that being said there are many wonderful windows that you can open to get fresh air. The area surrounding the cabin is really beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that we can return next year to enjoy it again. We would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway."

"The initial staff was great when we checked in. The staff was non-existent whwn we checked out so I just left the room keys on the counter. As for the room, it was very clean and nice. The one complaint I have is the AC unit. Its an older push button unit that should be updated. I turned it all the way to cold to cool the room down. It then shuts off completely so I need to go push the fan only button. Then in the middle of the night, it warms up again so I hit the AC button until it cools down and shuts off completely again."

"This is one of the best places I've been to. The kitchen is very stocked with utensils and basic necessities. Loved watching the wildlife in the yard while we had dinner. "My family had a decent stay at Bear Cottage. We were definitely surprised by the lack of wifi, which the property manager confirmed would be removed from the listing to avoid future confusion. I definitely would not have booked this place at this price had I known there would be no wifi. We also saw a TV in the listing that was not there, just an old radio in its place that barely got reception. We have a 6 year old, so 7 days without any sort of outside contact or stimulation was a bit difficult. We managed by visiting my in laws at their camp site down the road (where oddly, we got great reception). We are big Star Lake fans and always appreciate a chance to get out to the Northwoods. We loved the history and charm behind the cottage, and made some great memories there. Thanks for sharing it with us!"
