We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy and clean room. The craft cocktails and cuisine on site are absolutely next level and far exceeded our expectations for this rural village hotel. Parking on site and all staff were helpful and so friendly. We would definately come back again, we already miss “The George!”

Awesome staff. Gerald greeted us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. Very personable, wonderful server. Jude went out of his way to help us figure out the bus to Stratford, and even walked with us to the bus stop. There was a slight misunderstanding as to whether we had breakfast included, and Chiara handled it with extreme graciousness. Easy parking, fantastic room, and top notch food. My husband in particular liked the wood fired pizza. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).
