“Our truck broke down and we ended up staying here for three days. The staff were absolutely lovely. The hotel is on the process of switching from an EconoLodge. New carpet, walls painted. The jacuzzi is still being repaired but the pool was a consistent 87 degrees. I enjoyed my breakfast each morning. I would totally stay here again. Also, the property is very close to the train, prison museum and great restaurants… loved Nirvana. DiRitos and the Owl.”

“Rooms were clean and roomy. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast included fresh ground coffee, juice, various egg dishes, biscuits with vegetarian gravy, sausage, bacon, potatoe wedges, muffins, bagels, waffles, pancakes and fresh fruit. Pool, sauna, hot tub and workout room was also very nice.”

“The key making machine did not work. There oven was broken. The breakfast was very limited, and what was there was not complete (waffles, but no syrup). No eggs or other usual breakfast items. It seemed that the place was understaffed, as there was no one to see to restocking breakfast items. ”

“Desert Reef is a a quaint relaxing stay, soaking is very nice with shallow pools. We stayed in an Airstream our whole experience was phenomenal.”

“Great location for visiting Canon city. Appartment was clean and comfortable, and close to downtown Canon city. 3 min walk to the royal gorge railway. Plenty of resturants and cafes close by. Would book here again. Highly recommended. ”

“Me and my friends were overjoyed with our experience here! We attended a wedding at a near by venue and it was not only a convenient location, but offered so many cool bonuses like the campfire outside and of course the alpacas! “The home was a wonderful surprise. It was bigger than anticipated and was extremely nice. Everything you could want was supplied for you. Pet friendly - I did not have my fur baby with me, but nice yard, toys, blankets, bed, bowls and towels. Extra care was given and if you have a pet this home is highly recommended. I look forward to staying next year....once you find the perfect home, you stay with it.All properties hosted by Brooke and Kristi are impeccable!”
