"è stato un ottimo soggiorno con camere molto comode e spaziose, la pulizia è molto buona, la colazione è più che sufficiente, unico neo è che di sera non è abbastanza illuminato e l'insegna non è molto visibile"

"It's a large hotel, with nice but standard rooms, full bath. It's fully committed to its chocolate theme, which makes it a little kitschy, but has an amazingly large breakfast with both sweet and savory items. It's located outside the center, so a bit of walk uphill to the center, or you could take public transport (bus or Mini-metro). The hotel has free, easy and ample parking, so it could be a great base for exploring nearby towns."

"Awesome hotel! The rooms, toilets and eating areas are very clean. The owners/staffs are very nice and courteous and helpful. This place felt like home away from home. Highly recommended and will stay here again when we come back to Assisi. Highly recommended!"

Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. Great view of Perugia from across the valley, and the city itself is only a few minutes away (although it's one of the more maze-like experiences to try to get into the city center.)
Wi-Fi works well, although it's broken into a handful of small zones, owing I...

Booked last minute on our trip to Assisi not really knowing about this gem, but turned out to be the best! Very friendly staff. The location is just the best if your planing a trip to Assisi. The views are amazing and your not far from the basílica of st francis and Maria degli angeli. The best !

Amazing place to stay! It is the little things that make this place one of a kind: like two suitcase stands in the room. The service felt like they were full time career professionals that felt like they really cared about the place and the hospitality. Dinner and breakfast was amazing! Some of the best meals we had in Italy. Loved the old fashion feel to the place - peaceful to walk about the garden and read about the various plants. Wish we had spent more time in the area to be able to...

This was a wonderful experience with a very special personal attention. We highly recommend anyone to stay here. The view to our hotel was magnificent! Silvia, the owner of the place is also the owner of a first quality restaurant, very prestigious. We dined there and the food is absolutely delicious! We will come back for sure.

Breakfast looks just like the pictures associated w/ the hotel. It's just an amazing sight. It's hard to choose your meal with this abundance of options. Additionally staff were helpful w/ bus tickets and information. "Old town" is quite a ways up the hill and worth every step. Pleasant gardens are also nearby.

This is a lovely hotel close to the center of Perugia. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was immaculately clean. The view over the city and into the Umbrian countryside was lovely. We were very happy with everything the hotel had to offer.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in January. The hotel is beautiful, warm and comfortable. The service was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, especially the pastries. The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed using it and the sauna. We look forward to some day returning to the Sina Brufani.

The best area to stay in Brufa is in the heart of the village itself, particularly around the Brufa Sculpture Park and the main piazza.
This central area of Brufa offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by rolling vineyards and olive groves. The village is compact, making it easy to stroll among the permanent outdoor sculptures of the Brufa Sculpture Park, which are integrated throughout the landscape. The main piazza, often a gathering spot for locals, provides a glimpse into daily Umbrian life. For couples seeking a romantic and peaceful getaway, this area is ideal due to its quiet ambiance and scenic beauty.
Travelers looking for a more secluded experience with vineyard views might consider accommodations just outside the village center, located directly within the surrounding agricultural estates. These options often provide more expansive grounds and direct access to walking paths through the countryside.
When is the best time to go to Brufa?
The best time to visit Brufa, Umbria, is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October).
During these months, you'll experience pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the Umbrian countryside and its hill towns without the intense heat of summer. The landscapes are at their most picturesque, with blooming wildflowers in spring and the olive and grape harvests in autumn. This period also avoids the peak tourist crowds and higher prices of July and August, offering a more relaxed and authentic experience.
For travelers who prefer a quieter, more intimate experience, visiting in late autumn (November) can also be rewarding. While the weather is cooler, the region takes on a different kind of beauty, and you'll find even fewer tourists.
