Poor host communication
Host cancelled my stay as I was in route. I attempted to contact him starting 2 days prior to arrival and was unsuccessful, even with VRBO being unsuccessful 24 hours prior and 6 hours prior. He eventually called VRBO back a couple hours before my arrival to state he’d tried to contact me to cancel my booking. Yet he waited until check in time to actually cancel it, making me ineligible for VRBO to find me another booking. I had to find other accommodations, and eventually had to stay in multiple sites over the course of my stay due to availability. It was a nightmare!!!

Exactly as pictured
It was so peaceful and beautiful. Perfect for a couple or possibly a small family. The second bedroom area was in a loft that I would not recommend for adults or small children. Perfect for fishing. Lots of nice small shops and restaurants and not far from the casino. Marsha was quick to respond and so friendly. We had trouble getting into the door the first night and she sent someone right over to help. My only complaint was the parking. They were doing some construction during our stay and there was a trailer in the middle of the lot. We were in a large truck that made it a little difficult to stay out of the way of each cabin. So I don’t recommend multiple vehicles at this stay. Overall loved it and will be back. 😊

Pleasantly comfortable and welcoming
Our cabin was clean and more spaciously welcoming than we had expected. We did not expect anything negative but just could not envision a small cabin. Plenty of room to rest and refresh before our next day of excursions. A/c worked great and ceiling fans spread the coolness. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Memorial Holiday Stay
Marsha was fantastic with the details! The view and location are both perfection. My husband caught fish off the deck. Sunsets were the most beautiful ever! Bryson City is a charming place with lovely people! Enjoyed shopping, dining, the road to nowhere, Cherokee, the train and the overall fabulous feeling to pull back up to “relax you’re at the river”, literally on the river! Thank you from Cindi & Joe

Disappointed
Tiny house right ON river, which is wonderful; however, houses are VERY close together, offering little privacy on deck. Wish there’d been pictures of outside, so that would’ve been apparent. There was an exercise bike in the room off the deck, which is random, and took up precious space where comfortable seating would’ve been appreciated. Ice maker broken and there was a sign, but had been no attempt to repair it and we weren’t told beforehand. Handle on freezer is broken off and a handicap shower bar was put in it’s place. Janky We struggled to get freezer open. Frustrating. Listing says it’s 2 bedrooms. It’s not, it’s a loft, which listing DOES divulge. But it’s very steep climb, not suitable for adults. Sleeper sofa mattress had blood stains (NOT an option), so we ended up sharing the 1 bed. Biggest complaint was another homeowner told us upon arrival that we couldn’t park 2 cars at our until because it blocked parking at her units. Told us to park in front of the camper directly across the drive from our tiny house. At 1:35 AM(!!!), the owner of that camper arrived and started banging on our front door, yelling, and shining a flashlight in our windows. As single (unarmed) females, we were TERRIFIED to be awakened like that!!! Almost dialed 911 but hollered thru door to find out what was needed. Told we HAD to move our car. We did. RUINED OUR SLEEP before early morning activity. Marsha had VERY little to say about this and no apology or reconciliation. Very disappointing.

Great tiny home on the river
The tiny house is located in a RV campground, right on the river. The inside was clean, warm, and had all the amenities one could want for, including washer and dryer! Being next to the river was great; the sound of the rapids was very soothing. Bryson City and Cherokee were short drives from the location. Marsha, the host, was very attentive and responsive to all of my questions. I would stay there again.

Mountain Vacation
This getaway was just for the wife and I to get away and relax. I booked a fly fishing trip through "Fly Fishing the Smokies". This was my first time fly fishing and the guide was FANTASTIC and most of all PATIENT. We also enjoyed a train trip on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad through the Nantahala River Gorge. Other times were filled with a trip to Cherokee, fishing on my own, and walking. Great trip!
