The swimming pool and lounge area on top of the hill are lovely and have great views all around. I wished the room was a bit larger! With two suitcases i had to rearrange some furniture, I like to not stumble over them in the middle of the night. The beach club, free for hotel guests is very nice, too! Extremely clean in both the common areas and the room. The room was great, the breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been nicer. The beach is easily accessible and the nice lifeguards are always happy to give you a ride in the golf cart. "We were greeted with warm smiles and kindness. Our Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The hotel is decorated with local artifacts and colors. Breakfast was very nice, with a wide selection of breads, meats, and cheeses, and of course great coffee. The hotel has a restaurant attached and we had all of our lunches and dinners because the food and service were great! We could walk to hiking trails, the City Center, and of course the beach. We look forward to returning. "

"Hotel Excelsior is all about the location. It’s right in the centre of La Maddalena, with an amazing waterfront position where you can sit and watch the ferries come and go. I booked a sea view room, which was definitely worth it and easily the highlight of the stay.
The rooms are on the small side but were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent, which made a big difference during the warmer weather. Breakfast was decent without being anything special, but again, the...

"Excellent séjour à La Maddalena. Tout était parfait du début à la fin : personnel extrêmement agréable, attentionné et toujours au petit soin. L’hôtel est vraiment de standing, très bien entretenu, avec un accès direct à la plage très appréciable. Les repas étaient excellents, le room service efficace et la zone spa très agréable pour se détendre. Rien à redire, tout était impeccable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir."

"The overall corriente was not the best, the hotel is located in the far top of the town , not making it walking distance with kids.
We made a reservation for a family room that looked refurbished and very modern in the pictures, they gave us two traditional connecting rooms that were very old. Clean but old. In one of the rooms AC didn’t work and kept dropping water all night."
