“Perfect location for a visit to Harper’s Ferry ”

“We really enjoyed our stay in this Civil War era home. Very clean with plenty of towels and soaps. It had a good location in Sharpsburg. We walked to the bakery (twice), the ice cream shop and the library. Easy access to the Antietam Battlefield. Appliances worked as expected. We have stayed in numerous period homes and this home was by far the best equipped for preparing meals in the kitchen. Wi-Fi was very good and strong throughout the home. Great place to stay in Sharpsburg.”

“Our group of 4 stayed one night at Thistle Cottage as we biked through Harper’s Ferry on the C&O. We loved this house! It was clean, well-stocked, had ample space for all of us and our gear, and had a hose available to clean bikes. It was well located in a neighborhood we felt safe locking our bikes up in the yard and was walking distance to delicious food options. And Angela was very accommodating and great to deal with. Our only regret is we didn’t have more time to enjoy the property!”

“This cottage is in the perfect location! The cottage was clean, well stocked and wonderfully old and quirky. It is an easy walk into the historic town of Harper’s Ferry, but a bit steep going back, so manage your expectations and know your limitations. The host was VERY responsive and a pleasure to work with. The parking space is across the street and very tight against the hill (passenger needs to get out before parking). The town is quaint and has some wonderful local shops to visit. Our visit……

“We had a great stay at this little house! It was exactly as described in the listing, the spiral staircase is incredibly narrow and steep. I found it difficult to navigate but it was not a surprise since it was clearly stated. The location is great and we were able to walk to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Consider the staircase but other than that I’d definitely recommend! ”

“Property was spotless. Excellent communication. Location perfect-could walk to a winery and the battlefields of Antietam. Many extras- Latte machine. Outside area very comfortable with beautiful views. Dog friendly. Really enjoyed our stay. ”

“2nd floor bathroom need new curtain bec i can see color yellow grosses. No trash bag, need new light bulbs at master bedroom, need add toilet plungers each bathroom, thats why guy couldn't find plunger. House is a beautiful place. Thank u”

“Great location and very walkable to lower town. Parking was right outside of the unit which made it easy to load and unload all our belongings. Unit was very well appointed and had everything needed for a good stay.”
