"We searched out this property to house family members attending the sudden funeral. The property was spacious as advertised, but there were multiple cleanliness and comfort issues discovered upon check-in. The first thing we noticed was a strange mattress in the master bedroom closet with the heavily stained cover. With what appeared to be bodily fluids. There were hair beads with clumps of hair on the shelving. Spiderwebs in the corners of the shower, stained and ripped towels, and the barstools were heavily stained. Worst of all we discovered what appeared to be unwashed sheets with blood on them. This is a serious hygiene concern and made us question the entire cleanliness of the home. When an addressed by the host, it was dismissed and we were told that they had photos of all betting prior to check-in, basically calling us liars. The biohazardous sheets forced a family member to sleep on the couch. On further investigation, most of the bedding had either stains or holes in them. The master bedroom’s bottom sheet was actually a duvet cover that was not even large enough for the king size bed. Which caused it to bunch up all night long.There was inadequate silverware, plates and cups to accommodate eight guests as the property lists. Communication from the host even from the beginning was very aggressive with long messages in all CAPS. Overall we were disappointed mainly because of serious cleanliness issues with no concern by the host. "

"We often travel between TX and FL. This is our first stay at this hotel and it might become our regular stop. Thank you for having regular sized pillows on a king bed, not tiny ones on which it’s hard to sleep. And the sheets were a high thread count - very soft and comfortable. Even though our room faced the highway it was quiet enough not to be a problem. Lots of breakfast choices, too. And a Mexican restaurant right next door was the icing on the cake. We haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in awhile and this one was very convenient and comfortable. Ambrosia was ready with our check-in sheet so that was speedy. And we appreciate that the hotel has switched to wall mounted amenities instead of small bottles."

"This house has a nice spacious living and kitchen area. Be prepared to climb a steep set of stairs. 1 full bathroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs but shower wasn't working. We did have trouble unlocking the door when we 1st arrived. Had to call vrbo and the host for them to reprogram the lock. Convenient to Breaux Bridge and Henderson La. It is located on a very small bayou but not a good place to fish. We were 4 senior ladies so I wouldn't rent again because of stairs. Overall it would be great for a family. "

"Wow...so much bad here. I read all the bad reviews but gave it a shot for a last minute pet-friendly stay. Check-in: First, while I do have a large dog (german shepherd), they say everywhere that you can bring any dog or cat for $10 extra a night. Because of the size of the dog, they wanted to raise the price to $25 extra per night. I push back on this a good bit because that is nearly a night's worth extra. She lowered it to $20 after he and her husband or father argued about it. I was told there was no longer a first floor room (which I reserved) and had to take a 2nd floor room. No elevator or help at all there so was a struggle. As I walk up the stairs it smells strong of the family's body odor and cigarettes (even though its a smoke free property...) Stay: Over 3 days of keeping count, I killed 12 roaches in my room. They are obviously breeding in the walls. Old smelly furniture, and only one of the 3 lamps had a lightbulb. The lightbulb over the vanity/sink was out. The room was dumb hot at checkin. It took forever to cool because half of the A/C fans were broken. Towels were low quality, wouldn't dry for 2 days. No iron or ironing board. Asked if they had a iron and I was told, "I will check later, im busy". The bathroom was just as bad. The toilet was stained and seat worn and paint chipping. The middle of the tub was stained badly. I killed most roaches in here... The ONLY redeeming factor of this stay is that the bed was reasonably comfortable and clean."
