We found this a bit of a mixed experience. As we arrived very late, we only noticed the exterior the next morning. The building is clearly a 1960/70s structure, and the concrete architecture is quite stark and not particularly appealing. However, It’s clear the hotel is in the process of being refurbished, with the entrance and hallways already completed to a very high standard—they feel grand and welcoming. Unfortunately, this doesn’t quite carry through to all of the rooms. While our room had clearly had some updates, such as fresh paint and relatively new tiles in the bathroom, other areas felt quite dated. In particular, the bathroom overall could benefit from a full upgrade, and the rug in the room was well past its best and would be better removed. The furniture was dated too. That said, we do appreciate that refurbishing a large property takes time, and improvements don’t happen overnight. However, it might make more sense for bedrooms to be prioritised, as they have the biggest impact on guests’ overall experience. We didn’t have the opportunity to try the food or use any of the facilities, as this was a last-minute booking following a delayed flight, so we can’t comment on those aspects.

Limited parking on site but we arrived early and had no problem getting parking.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (5 and under). The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. Breakfast had minimal items which was in line with expectations from past reviews (milk, cereal, porridge, bread, jam, coffee). My only issue was the shower, the way it is heated doesn't provide flexibility to get the temperature correct (3 settings of cold, luke warm, burning hot). We only stayed one night so it was fine.
