Car Rental Historic Center

There are many exciting adventures to be had in Historic Center, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Pick up a set of wheels and you can discover the surrounding area at your leisure. Add these awesome places to your travel schedule:

• San Juan is 95 miles from Historic Center. Popular tourist attractions like San Juan Villicum Circuit should be high on your list while you're in town.
• About 120 miles away, Mendoza Wine Region is also popular with wanderers. Set aside time to experience Valle Grande Reservoir while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this buzzing city.
• Talampaya National Park is around 220 miles from Historic Center and is one of the region's most scenic nature spots. Go for a walk around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Argentina, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before sliding behind the wheel. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with a rental car.
