When you've checked out all of the amazing attractions in Playa Fortuna, there's heaps more to explore in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and get out there. These are some road trips we're confident you'll enjoy:

• Head off to Dorado for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Roughly 35 miles from Playa Fortuna, it has loads of amazing attractions such as Dorado Del Mar.
• Your next stop? It has to be Garrochales, which is around 55 miles away. Bosque Estatal De Cambalache is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
• Find your way to Mona Island to reconnect with nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Playa Fortuna, it's 140 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Puerto Rico, then it's likely you'll need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:
