There are many exciting adventures to be had in The Rocks, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can wander around the greater area at your own pace. Add these fantastic drives to your to-do list:

• Make your way to Newcastle for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Around 70 miles from The Rocks, it's home to numerous cool attractions, including Newcastle Beach.
• Around 45 miles away, Wollongong is also popular with wanderers. Set aside time to take in Wollongong City Beach while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love this thriving city.
• Head to Telstra Tower for a day out in nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just relax in the fresh air. From The Rocks, it's approximately 160 miles away.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Australia, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well.
