Car Rental Valhalla

After you've visited all of the fabulous sights in Valhalla, there's heaps more to explore in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get on the road. Here are some road trips you're sure to love:

• Make tracks to Middelburg for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Approximately 80 miles from Valhalla, it has numerous amazing sights, including Middelburg Mall.
• About 50 miles away, Rustenburg is also popular with wanderers. Make time to take in Ten Flags Theme Park while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this vibrant city.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Sabi Sands Game Reserve. You'll find it roughly 220 miles from Valhalla.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in South Africa, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before you drive off the lot. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or off road with a rental vehicle.
