Car Rental Windabout

When you've covered all the terrific places in Windabout, there's loads more to see in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get on the road. We've pulled together some road trips we're confident you'll enjoy:

• You'll discover Norseman Golf Club and countless other interesting attractions in Norseman. From Windabout, it's around 110 miles away.
• Roughly 100 miles away, Hopetoun is also a hit with wanderers. Make time to take in 12 Mile Beach while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this colorful city.
• Venture into the outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Wave Rock. It's approximately 200 miles from Windabout.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Australia, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before you drive away. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or off road with a rental car.
