Great staff, big if dated room but clean and a fantastic breakfast selection available
The building has a retained a lot of its character and charm it was very interesting and unique. Very spacious triple room ideal for us 3 women, Good breakfast attentive staff. Short walk to Cardiff bay with a nice selection of bars and restaurants.
The building is partially collapsed and the rooms are run down and tatty. This is not luxury. The breakfast is lovely and so are the staff in the restaurant. The rest is dire and so I would avoid.
Very beautiful property. Room was clean, staff was helpful. Didn’t have a fridge in room sadly but that didn’t take away from the lovely experience

A property which was fine for the price. It did have a whirl pool bath but no shower and in need of a refurb.
Nice enough stay but nothing spectacular and staff were friendly.
Location was very good for Cardiff bay!

Lovely old building in a good spot and staff were nice and friendly.
Room was spacious and beds were really comfy.
Bathroom wasn’t great. Tap heads falling off and mould around the bath which is a shame as it was a jacuzzi bath but didn’t feel particularly clean to sit in.
If I was advising anyone who was going to this hotel I’d ask for a top floor as we were on the bottom and there was a boxed in toilet soil stack right by the top of the bed which was pretty noisy when the rooms above flushed their toilet and even though it’s an old building noise seems to get through the walls really easily and could hear everything from the room above but sounded like they had a good time for a fair while. Fair play to them.

Rooms were great size , especially for a family of 4. Proper beds not sofa beds for kids. Jacuzzi bath was good.
Problem we had was that the bathroom window was not frosted and when going to the toilet/ shower the window was visible for everyone in the opposite offices to see through!!!!! We had to ask for a bedsheet to drape over the window for privacy.
What a fantastic old building! The Coal Exchange had loads of character. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was great value. We would stay again
Very helpful with check-in and accommodating any requests we had. Breakfast was amazing, and the bartender made excellent cocktails. The history of the building itself was fascinating. Once we figured out the parking, we were very happy with our stay. We will definitely return.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and very helpful with offering to store our small amount of luggage for the hours before and after our overnight stay - thank you. The breakfast was good and again here the staff were really helpful. Room was spacious and clean and air conditioning worked well. Worth the extra few steps from the Wales Millenium Centre to stay in this historic building.
Room was absolutely spotless and amazing hotel, but only problem I had on arrival in to room, their was tobacco scattered around the desk area from previous people. . Didn't bother me too much tbh, other than that me and my husband had a lovely night stay. Staff were Friendly, Definitely booking again soon .
We recently stayed here and I booked the Presidental Suite for one night The suite was very spacious and clean. The Decor was amazing.
The staff were friendly and very approachable and always happy to help.
We went down to breakfast between 8-8.30 and the restaurant was practically empty which is great. The breakfast was nice with not a vast selection but more than enough.
We did miss fried eggs, though.
The only downfall was the parking as this hotel doesn't have any. But it does offer a discounted stay at Q-Park which is situated behind the Premier Inn and around a 5-10 minute work. (Depending on the person)
Overall - it is an amazing place to stay with lots of history and character. I would definitely return.
