Carleton Place Town Hall Tours

You have to go to a different place/building to check in. I was late at night so this was not convenient. As a single female also not having a front desk at the hotel was a safety feature I missed for me. I didn't like entering the building late at night with no one there. The outside hallways are gross, dirty carpets etc, but the inside rooms were as sterile as you see in the pictures. Under the sink was full of dirty recycling bottles, that sort of put me off. You can not fit a truck in the underground parking, so also an issue for me to sort out in the middle of the night in a very quiet location, so I ended up paying for street parking and navigating those times/costs to feel safe and also because I couldn't fit into the underground. So for the $20 difference in other better hotels, I would stay somewhere else next time.

I booked "the nest/le nid" a bit last minute without realizing it is a trailer, so that was a bit of a surprise! Very cool decor, very clean, beautiful place with great attention to detail. Bryce (I think his name was) checked us in and also provided service in the restaurant the next day and was extremely nice, accommodating and welcoming. The food and drinks in the restaurant were fantastic! Everything seemed very well thought out. Thanks for a great stay!
