Needs updating badly, more like 4*. Some staff were attentive but overall not as good as other Thai hotels we have stayed in. eg. Anantara and Sheraton, both in Hua Hin. The hotel was good and reasonably priced, but Joe Kool’s Terrace felt overpriced. We found better food and value just outside the hotel for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet, though, was excellent and absolutely worth it.

I don't like the crowds and traffic of Hua Hin. Having a car, i have access to Hua Hin, but can enjoy the serenity of Cha Am which has several lovely quiet family owned beach side seafood restaurants nearby.

If you are looking for a reasonably quiet area right across the road from the beach, this is a good area, but if you like to go shopping and stay out and party, there's not too much there to do. It's best to have motorcycle or car
