"Stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was very nice. A comfortable king size bed and a high pressure shower with plenty of hot water. The new HVAC unit in the room worked as expected and was very quiet. Wish there was some carpet and/or rugs in the room, but bare floors seem to be the trend in the more budget minded hotels these days. But the room was very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The free breakfast was...well...free, and lacking in what I consider two essentials to a decent breakfast. The was no coffee - the machine was broken - and no eggs. There was the usual waffle maker, fresh fruit, yogurt and biscuits, muffins, etc. with a passable sausage gravy. There is a small, single serve coffee maker in the room so coffee wasn't an entire bust. And a Tim Hortons just down the road. Our last stay here was twenty years ago and it was a pleasant experience then and I am glad to report it was this time as well. Recommend! "

"The 4 o clock check in was late and inconvenient. The 11 o clock check out was early and inconvenient. If you stay past 11:15, then they charge you $75."

"When we arrived, we found someone’s boxers on the bathroom floor, and the floor appeared dirty. We could not get the thermostat to work, either, so our room was very hot until we finally called for help at 11:30 pm. They did send someone to fix it. We could also hear everything through the door that adjoins rooms. I just had high hopes for a luxurious stay, as this was the most I’ve ever spent on a hotel room. Never again. Over $300 for one night and to not feel absolutely comfortable is so disappointing."

"Totally secluded little cabin. A very clean and comfortable place to get away from everything for awhile. There are still modern conveniences like indoor plumbing, A/C or heat, TV, and a speedy internet connection. We definitely enjoyed our time there and would recommend it for anyone looking to unplug for a bit."

"The house was as described and clean, especially considering the wooded area it is in. They pretty much thought of everything. Separate towels for the hot tub and showers, an offering of different seasonings and such to cook with. Tons of pots, pans, dishes and glasses. Full-size kitchen appliances and a gas grill outside. Plenty of room to roam. The owners did a good job communicating and making sure you have all the information you need. It was worth the expense over some of the other area cabins. It felt more like a home than a cabin. Very comfortable!"
