Such a beautiful property on the Chickahominy River that is so well maintained and updated. My room was fresh and clean with plenty of towels for my 2 day stay. The adjoining restaurant "The Blue Heron" was fantastic! Unfortunately, the internet was down for my entire stay and I was unable to watch TV and had a difficult time using my laptop and phone. Additionally, the wood blinds do not provide a lot of coverage, so the lights from the parking lot keep the room very bright during the night. Thankfully, I was still able to get a good night of sleep. The staff is incredibly friendly and responded to every request with a sense of urgency. The staff was awesome from check in and check out. The waters were very accommodating caught some nice fish not real big though. Awesome staff, wonderful view, and just what we were looking for. The only downfall was the bed.
