This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

We had a fabulous stay in Charleston! We were a party of 7 adults and had plenty of room. We cooked, played games, watched movies, and of course saw all the sights! The rooms were spacious, beds comfy, bathrooms and everything were all super clean! The location was great for our first time to the area! We loved it!!

Great location has everything you need

We had a great stay at this house. The location is perfect for walking around and exploring Charleston. There was enough room for multiple cars for parking but we barely used them! Communication was wonderful and prompt and we will definitely be back!

Family Get Together

We enjoyed our stay in this home. The great location, nice space with 2 1/2 bathrooms, 3 parking spaces & high chair worked well for our family to stay together on our vacation to Charleston. Very comfortable beds & linens. Convenient to nearby coffee shop & local pizza place. Host was very responsive to my questions & needs! We would stay there again!

Family Trip to Charleston

Great location and plenty of room for our family of four to stay for the week. The backyard area was cozy and the beds were comfortable (more than most VRBOs). We loved the pizza place, Island Provisions, and Browns Court bakery all just a few steps from the front door.

Easter Family Fun

We had our two sons and their wives, along with our 7 month old grandson with us. It was a beautiful home with parking for up to three cars, which was nice when our daughter and her boyfriend visited. It was perfect to be right next door to Island Provisions for morning coffees and pastries. It was a very walkable location. The trash trucks and nearby bar could make things a little noisy at times, but all the rooms had sound machines, so it was never an issue. We had a great family vacation and made lots of memories there. We'd defintely stay here again.

This was a great home and took care of what we needed for our one-night stay in Charleston! The location was great, the host was even better. Loved the Island Provisions right next door! Thank you! Will recommend it again!

House was in perfect location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Short uber ride to the breweries. House with great natural light, clean, and comfortable. Easy communication with host. Parking a huge plus! Trip was a success!

Nice holiday stay for multigenerational family

Property was clean and convenient to Charleston activities and especially King Street! Host was responsive and a pleasure to deal with! Immediate neighbors are friendly but the block is a bit dilapidated in parts, so anyone with young children should keep them close. True to any City though! Overall great stay.

Great house, great owners, great vacation!

We had to change our vacation plans last minute because a member of our family got covid. We found this location last minute and it was available, the renters were very accommodating for our last minute rental and even were accommodating when we had to extend our stay for an extra day. The check in process was super easy and they communicated with us throughout the whole process, answered any questions we had and responded very quickly. We really enjoyed our experience and would rent with them again. Thanks for the great time.

Great stay

This house is located in an excellent part of Charleston! Close to everything and the layout of the home was very good. Previous reviews mentioning the construction noise is accurate. The house next door is being renovated, so the noise starts early but settled by 4pm. There was also street work being done too at the same time. Most of the days, we were touring the city, so it didn’t bother us too much. Overall great stay!

Perfect Downtown Charleston Getaway

This house is spacious, well designed, well appointed, and well equipped to make your vacation easy and hassle free. It has plenty of light which makes the experience of being inside much more pleasant than staying in a hotel. The standard real estate recommendation re: "location, location, location" really applies here. It is super close to upper king bars and restaurants and only a modest length walk to the market and east bay area. As other reviews have stated, the owner is very organized and provides all the information you need to access entry easily when you arrive, to enjoy your stay, and to secure the house easily when you are not present or depart at the end of your stay.

Very comfortable and clean-would visit again!

We loved our stay in Charleston and at this home. The only reason I gave the property a 4star vs. 5 is that we would have liked to be a bit closer to the center of the historic district. This home is located one block from upper King Street where lots of bars are. Uber rides to and from the home were super easy to catch-never waited more than 5 minutes any time of day. Check in was very easy. The drive-up appeal to the home itself was lovely. There is a broken down home on the left that may be off-putting to some but there is a lot of that all over Charleston-historic homes waiting for love and renovation. The home is very well kept and appointed with towels, blow dryers, kitchen equipment (coffee maker), etc. Roku TV was a nice bonus! The driveway was a nice thing to have so we didn't have to park our car on the street. There is even a gate that you can close at night for more security. The A.C. worked very well during our warm temperature visit to Charleston. The beds were Tempur-Pedic and very comfortable. This home was perfect for our "girlfriend getaway" (there were 3 of us). We would definitely come back.

Nice and comfortable place to stay

Very comfortable and spacious place to stay. There was plenty of space for 4 of us. Just know it’s a fairly busy area and can be a bit loud outside at night. Great cafe next door, easy walk to many bars and restaurants.

Weekend in Charleston

We had an excellent experience with this property. We were 5 adults and my Golden Retriever. There was enough bedrooms and space for all of us. Everything was clean. The location is awesome. You can walk to all the restaurants and stores in Charleston. We had to travel Mount Pleasant and it is super convenient for this as well. The team is super responsive and answers your questions and needs immediately We will definitely be staying here again in the future!!

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable and house was clean & neat. Loved being able to walk over a few steps and get the best coffee from Island Provisions. My friends who slept upstairs heard some street noise during the night but the two of us downstairs slept like babies.

St Philip Street House-Charleston

House is quaint and just like photos. Upstairs rear bedroom warm due to high outside temps-should have portable fan for each bedroom, thank goodness I brought 1extra. Noise issue 1 night from dive bar next door rectified for remainder of stay after I called YOURPAD. Island Provisions next door was convenient. Liked having gate in driveway for added car security/privacy. Host is quick to return phone calls which we appreciated.
