  • Prepare to be captivated by this lovely Beadnell cottage. Once you lay eyes on this stunning gem, you'll be instantly hooked.
    Rose Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage for up to 6 people. There are 3 bedrooms, which include 1 master bedroom with king size bed and separate day bed. The second bedroom is en-suite with a king size bed and the third room has bunkbeds for children. There is 1 family bathroom with bath and shower.
    Ground Floor:
    - Entrance hallway and cloaks
    - Open plan living room with log burner, freeview TV
    - Fully fitted oak shaker style kitchen with dining table to seat six guests and patio doors leading to an enclosed patio garden.

    First Floor:
    - Master bedroom with king size bed and separate day bed
    - Large second bedroom with king size bed and En-suite
    - Third bedroom with bunk beds for the little ones
    - Family bathroom with bath and shower

    - Patio garden to the rear

Great location. A little TLC needed though. Owned by a large chain and, although originally decorated and appointed nicely, it’s in need of a freshen up - lots of cracked wall, past signs of ceiling leaks, tatty curtains, smelly fridge with some mold in the drain, bath paint/enamel peeling, poor showers.

Rose Cottage is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It is very spacious with good quality fixtures and fittings. Whilst the aesthetic was very rustic/luxury cottage, the living room decor did feel a little dark and dreary in comparison to the pictures advertised. It seemed to be lacking some of the advertised charm and was a little tired in places. The check in process was also confusing. On arrival there were two key boxes next to the door of an un numbered property. The neighbouring property had a sign in the window showing the house number we were given so we assumed it was our accommodation, however the keys did not fit the lock. Reluctantly, we tried the door of the property next door and found the keys fit. Perhaps a clear door number on the correct property would help avoid any confusion for future guests. It was extremely hot inside the house for the duration of our stay, especially at night. A couple of fans would be a good idea to have on standby for guests to use at night.At the end of our stay we stripped our beds down as per the check out instructions and I noticed some staining on the mattress protector and quilt, which was disappointing. There was also some crockery which hadn't been washed properly in the cupboard. Whilst these are all fairly minor details and they didnt spoil our stay, I would expect a little more attention to detail in line with the cost/price . Overall, however, we did have an enjoyable stay at Rose Cottage.
