Amazing experience for the whole family
Everyone in our party (2 adults, a 3 year old, a 1 year old, and a dog) had a great time at the Quiet Cabin. The cabin was well-appointed and clean with everything we needed, including fresh eggs, blueberry muffins, coffee/tea, and AC. We enjoyed exploring the large property with private trails, scenic pond, fields, chicken coop, and more. The kids loved simple things like looking for bugs and pine cones, bird watching, and enjoying the campfire. The real treasure was Jim himself, simply the nicest gentleman around -- he even gave us tractor lessons. What a wonderful way to spend the long weekend, thanks so much!!

An absolute gem
This cabin in an absolute gem! The cabin and property are well maintained and the hosts give a lot of care into making sure you have everything you need to have the best and most comfortable stay possible. Host is super nice, provides a property tour (don’t be concerned about walking into the woods with the host, there are great amenities down the path!), and greets you with fresh eggs and muffins. The acceptance and accommodations for our dogs were top notch! The entire cabin property is fenced in and is suitable for dogs to roam without concern. For comparison, my dogs who stayed in the cabin are a 45lb red heeler and 20lb chiweenie. Cabin location is within 15 minutes of downtown Chatsworth and various hiking locations, lakes and ponds. The host graciously offered canoes or kayaks if we wished. 10/10 we will be back and we are telling every person we know to pay this place a visit!

A Warm and Welcoming Stay
The bar was set high right from the start, with muffins and fresh eggs provided by the host, and a tour of the property for myself and my dogs. If my dogs could post a vrbo review, they would share that they loved the trails and feel of this perfect Pineland property. It was due to rain during my stay and Jim asked if I needed to borrow an umbrella. And I definitely did! It ended up being torrential rain and we stayed warm, cozy, and dry in the cabin. There were so many thoughtful amenities: beautiful backyard lights turned on at dusk to create fantastic ambiance; spare dog leashes for us forgetful dog owners; a fantastic outdoor set up with grills, gazebo, and a fire pit; spare flashlights; bug spray (haven’t we all forgotten our bug spray!) and much much more. I wish I could spend every weekend at this beautiful cabin.

Really great stay
The goal was a nice calm weekend away and that’s exactly what we got here. Everything offered was great and Jim was a great host. Received fresh eggs and muffins and even got some tractor lessons along with my partner by Jim himself. Really enjoyed our selves and would even consider re visiting in the future. 10/10 experience.

Fabulous!
The cabin was perfect for us. It was clean, well stocked as per the description and very cozy. We loved the quiet wooded setting. From the porch with the rocking chair, to the screened gazebo, as well as paths to walk, I spent much of my time outside. The entire place was extremely dog friendly which allowed us to keep our pet with us and relax at the same time. Jim met us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the cabin and grounds. He was friendly, helpful and laid back which further allowed us to relax. He was a perfect host, and was genuinely concerned that we had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. There are also plenty of activities to be found locally for entertainment, but this visit we just chose to chill. I easily could have stayed much longer in this peaceful paradise and I definitely plan to come back!

Terrific find!!
Exceptional place to stay. Jim and Effie were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was worry free and memorable. Jim provided us with a huge variety of coffee pods, fresh eggs, and muffins for breakfast and ice cream for an after dinner treat. Mornings were spent relaxing on a covered porch watching humming birds fluttering nearby. The place is very pet friendly offering plenty of treats, toys, bowls and blankets all in the safety of a fenced in yard. We were provided with complimentary beach passed plus free parking to the beautiful Long Beach Island shore which was about an half hours drive. Well worth the trip. However we didn't have to venture far for an outdoor experience. This quiet little place offered a surprising amount of amenities from walking trails, to a picturesque meadow, to a gazebo overlooking a pond, and a fire pit for relaxing by in the evening. Jim even provided kayaks that we took to a nearby lake where we also fished and hiked. If planning to visit the area, we highly recommend this place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon.

Hidden Gem
This cabin was amazing! Jim was THE BEST host we’ve ever had. He offered to take us anywhere and knew exactly where to go for anything we needed or wanted to do. He gave us beach passes also which was nice! If you enjoy hiking, there are a lot of state parks right around the cabin, fishing is all around the area and if you enjoy the beach, it’s about a 40 minute drive but not bad at all. The cabin comfortably fit the three of us and our three dogs. There’s a sleeper sofa and a Murphy bed, kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer, AC, had everything needed for cooking, sleeping, bathing, covers to protect the furniture…unlimited ice pops, Hershey bars and graham crackers for s’mores by the fire and FRESH eggs. My daughter loved feeding Henriettas (the chickens), the roosters and picking their eggs. There are paths to take you to a gorgeous meadow or a spring fed pond with a gazebo, life vests, mist fan, sun spray, bug spray, a canoe and kayaks. Jim left bones, dog dishes around, dog treats and treated our dogs as his own. They loved swimming and running around the pond and the paths around the area…even within the fenced area. There’s also a fire pit, grills, lit up gazebo with fan, furniture and picnic table to enjoy outdoor relaxation. It’s fenced in for the dogs which is excellent. Jim really thought of everything for this little piece a paradise! We miss it already!

Great cabin with great host
Our stay at this cabin was extremely comfortable. I was surprised with lots of more amenities than I was expecting: snacks, fire wood, pond for swimming, etc. What really makes this place great is its host Jim. He’s such a friendly person and always attentive to our needs. 100% recommended.

The quiet cabin is just what you expect quiet. Jim was very helpful in every way he could be. The cabin was well stocked with everything under the sun. Will be backed for visit. Took home a little kitten from there and Jim took me to Walmart to get food and litter, so I didn"t have to do it at home.

Awesome Find!
The property was exactly as described plus more! Additional amenities included fresh eggs, ice-cream, smores, muffins, beach passes, land to roam, etc. The size of the cabin was perfect for us with a 4-year-old and 1 year old. It was also a perfect setup for our dogs! Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy everything this property has to offer like exploring the land, kayaks, etc. because of the time and having 2 little ones. Jim was a very welcoming host and went the extra mile with our 4-year-old son by showing him his tractor!

Nice little place in the woods.
Decided to stay as a change of pace from the usual beach house weekend and was not disappointed. Had a great time in the Pine Barrens, exploring the surrounding area. Plenty of outdoor activities onsite, in the area. (Didn't have my dog with me, but definitely plan on bringing next time - very pet friendly.) Hosts, Jim and Effie were very accommodating.

Peaceful Stay
We enjoyed our stay at Jim and Effie's cozy and peaceful property. We enjoyed the firepit and screened in gazebo in the evenings. Our boys slept outside in a tent, as it would have been a bit tight for the four of us inside. Jim and Effie were so gracious and provided fresh eggs for our breakfast, and snacks for the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner first off is god sent! Property was cute and stocked with your bare essentials. As well as laundry detergent, soap, etc…. Kayaks are on property as well so we overpacked! Well lite up as well so it makes it hard to get lost on the properties walking trails. At night the paths light up with motion lights. Bug spray is a must on trails but it was there as well. Very pet friendly with dog treats and leash if you forget. Fenced in property makes it easy to relax with kids or pets present as well. The kids didn’t want to leave! Fresh eggs are available as well which were delicious! We will be back guaranteed.

Quiet Getaway From City
We had such a relaxing time this Memorial Day Weekend. Its quiet, secluded, and cozy. Jim and Effie were fabulous hosts. We had fresh eggs, muffins, coffee and creamer. They had everything. Our senior dog was the reason for our trip. We dont know how much longer we have him and want him to experience the non city life from time to time. We did bird watching, took walks, drove to nearby attractions, and sat by the fire each night and gazed at the stars. We are already thinking about when we will be coming back.
