Not a fan of the $25 baggage fee. I usually choose another airline but had no choice this time.

On my second flight, i did a gate check for my carry on bag, The guy at the gate took my bag, He was picking up another passenger's strollers and did not say anything to me. On my two previous flights on aircraft of similar size, passengers were encouraged to gate check bags, So on this flight when I heard an announcement asking that the person who left a gray bag at the bottom of the gate, please turn on their light, I was confused and did not think at first that it was mine. I did turn on my light after a couple minutes to make sure. I mentioned that I gate checked a bag and The flight attendant said "We don't have valet service" She did not try to help me figure out if it was indeed my bag but repeated the same statement. So I felt like an idiot and did not know if it was my bag until I went to baggage claim. It was stressful and on my mind the entire flight. One problem was the terminology. I only fly once every year or two and sometimes check bags. I have always only heard the term "gate check" and not "valet service". How was I to know that when the guy took my bag at the gate with the strollers and all other flights I have been on did have gate check? I have been in customer service my whole career and would try to be helpful instead of being made to feel foolish, That is my only complaint and I rarely make them,

You held my flight for 20 min. so other passengers , who's flight was late getting in, could make this flight and get home. That was REAL "stand up" of you. Good job!

In ATL, there was a huge issue with clearing customs to catch a delta connection. It seems that in this day and age, with technology, there could be more proactive ways to manage the flow of US citizens trying to catch a connecting flight.
