People should be told about those very steep stairs to get up. There was lovely room nice location, but the mattress definitely needs to be replaced. It was way too soft. The service was impeccable. The property is beautiful. It’s a lovely property. They just need a little bit of notice regarding the stairs and they need a new mattress up there. Took the time to have conversations with us and how they could help us in any way during our stay. Breakfast was great!! Rooms were clean. Dining and common areas were also clean and quiet. I LOVED MY STAY!! Will go back to this Inn anytime I am visiting the Bryson City area. And the best part, this is Not a Chain. The location is perfect for a visit to the NP and Bryson City is a charming little town with lots of appeal, a few nice coffee shops, at least 3 breweries and a few other respectable eateries in the area. But the Inn itself is also nearly perfect. It is very quiet. The rooms are very spacious. The outdoor spaces are great for relaxing for an afternoon or early evening glass of wine, read, game, whatever. And the inn keepers, John and Marie, are as friendly as you could possible want. The bed was great and the breakfast delicious and filling. Marie prepared a hot dish each morning and there is also fruit and yogurt and all kinds of breads… It’s not the fanciest hotel we’ve stayed in but it is certainly the friendliest and a very, very comfortable place to stay.
